GDPR Statement

Your rights under UK GDPR, how we meet our obligations as a controller and processor, and how to make a request.

Last updated: 1 May 2026

Our role

Under UK GDPR, Sentury Developments Ltd (trading as Sentinel Fleet) acts as a data controller for the personal data of website visitors and customer account holders, and as a data processor for the operational fleet data that customers upload to the platform on behalf of their drivers and staff.

Lawful bases we rely on

  • Contract — to deliver the service you have signed up for.
  • Legitimate interest — to keep the platform secure, prevent abuse, and improve features. We balance our interests against your rights and document this assessment internally.
  • Consent — for optional marketing communications. Consent is freely given, specific, informed, and you can withdraw it at any time.
  • Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose data to meet UK law (for example, tax records or law-enforcement requests served with proper authority).

Your rights

Access

Get a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

Rectification

Correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete.

Erasure

Ask us to delete your data, subject to legal retention duties.

Restriction

Limit how we process your data while a query is being resolved.

Objection

Object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing.

Portability

Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

Withdraw consent

Where consent is the basis, you can revoke it at any time.

Complain to the ICO

Lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office.

Making a request

Email hello@sentinelfleetuk.co.uk with the subject line "Data Subject Request". Tell us:

  • Which right you are exercising.
  • Enough information to verify your identity (we will never ask for more than is necessary).
  • Where relevant, the account, email, or company the request relates to.

We will respond within one calendar month. Complex or numerous requests may be extended by up to two further months — we will tell you within the first month if that applies.

If you are a driver or employee on a customer's account

For data uploaded to the platform by your employer (walkaround checks, defect reports, risk scores, etc.) your employer is the data controller. Please direct your request to them in the first instance. Sentinel Fleet, as processor, will support them in fulfilling your request.

International transfers

Where any processor stores or processes data outside the UK or EEA, we rely on UK International Data Transfer Agreements, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum, or other safeguards approved by the ICO.

Data breaches

We will notify the ICO within 72 hours of becoming aware of a personal data breach where it is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, and we will inform affected individuals without undue delay where the risk is high.

Data Protection Lead

We are not required to appoint a statutory Data Protection Officer, but our Data Protection Lead is contactable at hello@sentinelfleetuk.co.uk.
